Take over in Easington
Gassco will take over the day-to-day operations of the Langeled Receiving Facilities (LRF) in Easington UK from 1 October 2011.

In September last year, the Gassled management committee approved the way forward to have Gassco direct operations of the LRF. Based on the Gassled decision, Gassco has terminated the Technical Service Agreement with Centrica Storage, the company present in charge of the daily operations of the LRF.
A Gassco project team are established to gain successful project execution and the team will work in close cooperation with Centrica’s employees up to the formal takeover of the daily operations in October 2011.
Gasscos has also contracted the following vendors in the UK related to the transfer of day-to-day operations of the LRF:
- Company WorleyParsons on project management services and detail engineering of electrical, instrument, telecom and control systems.
- Company J Murphy & Sons Ltd on design and building of a new administration/control centre, storage and car park.
- Company PSN on pre- operational support, such as recruitment, HR issues, training, establish of maintenance systems.
Gassco took over the daily operations of the receiving terminals for Norwegian gas in Continental Europe in 2007.
The Gassled joint venture owns the integrated transport system for Norwegian gas with Gassco as operator.
