The Haltenpipe line is 250 kilometres long and carries gas from the Heidrun field in the Norwegian Sea to Tjeldbergodden in mid-Norway.

With an internal diameter of 16 inches, it became operational in December 1996.


Joint venture

The Haltenpipe joint venture was established on 23 June 1995. This partnership has no employees and work is organised through the management committee. Gassco serves as operator for the joint venture, and chairs the management committee.
