Procurement

Products and services for our operatorship and business areas are largely procured directly or by our technical service providers (TLPs). The latter are companies responsible for day-to-day operation of part of our facilities.

Products and services for our operatorship and business areas are largely procured directly or by our technical service providers (TLPs).  The latter are companies responsible for day-to-day operation of part of our facilities. Statoil is the largest of these, and operates our processing plants at Kårstø and Kollsnes, for example.

Our procurement department has a responsibility to supervise and see to it that the TSPs pursue their procurement activities in compliance with the service agreement.

We conduct our own procurement from our head office at Bygnes in Karmøy as well as from the receiving terminals in Germany, Belgium/France and the UK. Procurement for day-to-day operation of the terminals takes place locally, while Bygnes is responsible for requirements related to head office and major projects at the terminals.
